Throughout January, the YSI Training and Education Team along with the YSI Education Support Team delivered Creative Communications in-service Workshops to YSI Guides participating in this year’s Social Innovation Programme.

Workshops were held in Dublin, Carrick-on-Shannon, Limerick and Cork and offered fun, interactive mornings where educators could share ideas and experiences as well as take part in a creative communications session delivered by Jenny MacDonald of Desertfish Productions.

Young Social Innovators depends on these educators to facilitate its programmes on the ground with young people. These are inspirational teachers and youth leaders who often go beyond the call of duty to inspire, motivate and support young people as they tackle often difficult social issues and come up with and implement ideas for positive change.

YSI Guides will now take the creative learning back to their YSI teams as they prepare their Speak Out presentations for the regional March events.
